In the last few years, feeling uninspired, I felt like I couldn't finish a painting if I took more than one day on it. This caused me to prefer working quickly and finishing within a day if possible. It can be hard to fight self-criticism and lack of inspiration!

Lately, I'm getting better about committing to a painting until it feels done.
